Down on the Farm Summer Camp
When children visit our farm we hear: Wow! Look at that! What is it? Why does it do that? How does it work? What do you do with it on the farm? So much wonder! So many questions! So much to do! Welcome to the “Down on the Farm” Summer Camp.
Each day has a different focus: Soil, Sun and Rain; Plants; Pollinators and Pests; and Animals on the Farm. We’ll feed and care for and play with the animals; examine the interplay of soil, sun, and rain; investigate the theories, techniques, and tools of farming and try them out; and in the late afternoons, experience “cultivation” and “culture” coming together in music, art, the written word, and crafts. What wonder and riches down on the farm!
