Summer Work

To anyone who wants to do some good work, learn about farming, or even just have something interesting to do this summer:

The Kranz Hill Farm offers internships and opportunities for volunteering to people of all ages and abilities. This summer, the work will be chiefly in the morning, from 8 to 12, and in the afternoon, from 3 to 6, or later.

We welcome help washing produce on Tuesday and Friday mornings, and on other days assistance with planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting of vegetables, or taking care of the animals.

There’s a lot to see out here, a lot to do, and a lot to learn about. Write us at, or give us a call (302-540-0912) if you’re interested.

I have a family of 4 kids (ages from 13-5) and saw on Tri-State your summer experience post. Would like to know if my family could come by and see if there is a way we could get involved. Please let me know best times to come and if all my kids could help in something.
    Thanks, Misty

      Dear Misty,

You are very welcome to visit! I’m sure there are plenty of ways for your family to get involved; there is so much to do at the farm! Our summer hours for a casual visit are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM until noon, and Tuesday & Friday afternoons from 4:00 PM until 7:30 ish. Drop by and we’ll see what we can arrange. Look for me at the barn (smaller portion to the left) or down the lane at the goat and donkey paddock. See you soon!
